Faith, Liberty, Friendship

Here I am in DC. Technically Dulles, which is west of DC so there really isn't much to see. I am in town for three days on training. There is a lot of fall foliage. We don't have much of that in Texas. Anyways I will be glad to get back. I did FaceTime with Brennon yesterday and he said "Hi dada" and had a tear in his eye. Too cute. He misses me.

Life is always complicated. People often ask Holly and I if we are going to have another kid. The answer is, yes, when we quit having miscarriages. That is our major problem. It is like we can get pregnant, but staying pregnant is a problem. Sometimes when I think of giving up I think of my mom, who at the age of 35 had me. My dad was 38 at the time. So I think we probably have two more years of trying. There are a lot of alternatives and it all depends on how far you want to go with things. Do you go IVF? Mom mentioned the other day how she was on synthetic estrogen. Of course in my research that could be a cause of her clear cell cancer. So it is like you have to ask yourself, what if... And then think of the good, the bad... The facts of life. I think having another child is better than good. At some point our wills will be tested. Who knows what will happen, but as long as we keep trying something has got to happen, good or bad. In the end we will have closure.
